Privacy
What this site records when you use it, and where that goes. There are no accounts and no adverts, and the site's own code sets no cookies.
Pages and downloads
The site and its downloads are served by Cloudflare. Cloudflare handles every request, including your IP address, and keeps its own logs and analytics under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Cloudflare may also set its own security cookies.
From Cloudflare's traffic analytics for archive.pendulumflow.com and
dl.pendulumflow.com we keep a daily summary: requests and bytes for each path, and,
for each corpus, requests and bytes per client. A client is kept as a salted hash of its IP
address plus a tool family such as duckdb, curl or
crawler, never as the address or the full user agent.
The site also counts the files it serves itself, in Cloudflare's Workers Analytics Engine. For each one it records the prefix, the kind of file (Parquet, manifest, checksum or other), the HTTP status and the number of bytes. It does not record your IP address, your user agent or the file's full name.
Buttons we count
A few clicks are counted, each as the event alone, with nothing about who you are:
- the prompt to follow us on X: when it is shown, and which button was pressed;
- a click on a link to join the Discord, and where on the site that link was;
- a feedback message refused before it was stored, and why (the anti-spam check had not finished, had expired, or could not be run).
Stored in your browser
Two settings are kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us:
pf-theme, your light or dark choice, and pf_follow_x, whether you
have answered the follow prompt (or closed it, which hides it for seven days). Clearing your
site data removes both.
The feedback form
A message sent through the feedback form is stored in a database on Cloudflare with:
- the message, the time it was sent and the page it was sent from;
- your browser family, such as Chrome, Firefox or curl, not the full user agent;
- a salted hash of your IP address. It limits each address to 5 messages an hour and lets only the sender add details to a message. Your IP address itself is not stored.
After sending, you can add optional details: a kind (feature request, feedback, bug, data request, other), an X handle, a Telegram name, a Discord name, an email address, and whether we may contact you. Only what you fill in is stored.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which loads from
challenges.cloudflare.com on pages that show the form. To check it, we send its
token and your IP address to Cloudflare.
Each new message is also posted, with its number and the page it came from, to a channel in our Discord server, so we see it. Added details are posted too: the kind and whether we may contact you. Your contact details are included only if you ticked that we may contact you; otherwise the post says only that some were given.
Messages are kept in that database. Nothing deletes them automatically yet.
Donations
We publish wallet addresses and nothing else: no account, name or email is asked for. A donation is a public blockchain transaction, and the site may show recent amounts with links to them on a block explorer.
There is no mailing list.
